‘St Thomas More High School is committed to the safeguarding and protection of all children. To achieve this, we closely follow national and local authority guidelines and adhere to all statutory procedures. All concerns for the safeguarding, welfare, health and well-being of pupils are reported to one of the five Designated Teachers with responsibility for Safeguarding and Child Protection, these being Mrs Ackred - Headteacher; Mr Mason - Director of Learning i/c Behaviour & Safeguarding; Mrs Walford - Pupil and Community Support Officer; Mr Maxfield - Deputy Headteacher;  Ms Corr - Director of Learning i/c Sixth Form. It is the schools responsibility to refer all such concerns to the appropriate authorities or Specialist services, in accordance with these procedures.
